A Final Word On Fitness For This Week


I hope you managed to catch some of my posts on Facebook this week. If not, go back to my Facebook homepage and you’ll find them all there. My intention is to inspire you and motivate you in this important area of your life, of all our lives.

Because the fact is we only have one life, and we should live it well. And we only have one body to live that life every day. If our bodies let us down and hold us back, that can lead to frustration, anger, regret and sadness. I don’t want that for anyone, and I believe that our physical fitness is within our control.

Starting today.

It doesn’t matter what shape you are currently in, you can go for a five minute walk every day. And next week, it’s 10 minutes, and the week after, 20 minutes. And so on. You just have to choose to do it.

Making a choice means you are giving something up in order to take your walk. So what will you give up in order to take a 10 minute walk. A cigarette break? A dessert at lunch or that extra espresso? Or that extra 10 minutes sorting through email at the end of the day. Or sitting on your sofa watching the news?

Find the way to make the choice a no brainer. If you have it within yourself that taking a walk, or some other exercise, is the best option for you at that time, then it becomes easy. Really easy.

Once you’re on the road to fitness, the options open up for you with a multitude of wonderful activities that previously you never contemplated. And as well as the fitness benefits, there are social benefits as you can meet like minded people and make great friends. And these benefits then seep into other areas or your life. As you get fitter, you feel better about yourself, you have more energy and enthusiasm for your work, your family and friends, your important relationships, your life, and everyone will notice.

This is how we can start on the journey to be the best that we can be. It's all within our control, within our grasp, if we make the right choices.

As a coach, I can guide you to make those choices. I won't make the choices for you, I'll help you be very clear what the right choices are, for you. That's one of the unique things about coaching; a good coach won't tell you what to do; you'll tell the coach what you're going to do, and that feels great!

It's your life. Be the best that you can be.
